Global Compact

As a member of Global Compact, Tulip commits to the principles of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).

Human rights

Businesses should support and respect the protection of internationally proclaimed rights and make sure they are never complicit in the abuse of human rights.

Labour

Businesses should uphold employees’ freedom of association and the effective recognition of the right to collective bargaining. Global Compact members should also commit to the elimination of all forced and compulsory labour, the effective abolition of child labour and the elimination of discrimination in respect of employment and occupation.

Environment

Businesses should support a precautionary approach to environmental challenges, undertake initiatives to promote greater environmental responsibility and encourage the development and distribution of environmentally friendly technologies.

Anti-corruption

Businesses should work against corruption in all its forms, including extortion and bribery. The United Nation has formulated principles that Global Compact has incorporated into its standards.

Participation in the Global Compact requires preparation of an annual report known as the “Communication on Progress” that can be referred to in the CSR section of a company’s annual report. Tulip takes CSR seriously. That’s why Tulip is a member of Global Compact. Global Compact also provides us with a number of tools for implementation of CSR policies within the Danish Crown Group.

The purpose of Tulip and the Danish Crown Group’s CSR strategy is to enable all subsidiaries and divisions around the world to affiliate with the Global Compact principles.
